Olympic Swim Challenge Workout



Freestyle: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m

 

Backstroke: 100m and 200m

 

Breaststroke: 100m and 200m

 

Butterfly: 100m and 200m

 

Medley: 200m and 400m

-      Fly, Back, Breast, Free

 

Freestyle relay: 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m

-       Grab a friend for your own relay or swim the distances on your own.

 

Medley relay: 4 x 100m (men, women)


TOTAL: 6150m

 

o   I can’t swim butterfly or backstroke.

Backstroke: Use fins & kick on your back

Butterfly: Dolphin leg kick or front crawl kick on front, back, sides.

o   Can I use fins, paddles and pull buoy?

Absolutely: swimming the distances are great for fitness & confidence building

o   How long do I have to complete the distances?

Swim challenge to be completed by the 1 September.

o   Do I have to swim the Olympic distances in order?

Mix up the distances to have fun tackling the challenge.

o   BONUS: Complete the challenge twice, once for the woman & once for the men.


Pull buoy, fins and hand paddles can only be use once. C
