Service Description
Denham Open Water Swim Fitness Sessions Build confidence. Improve technique. Get open-water ready. The Denham Group Open Water Swim Fitness sessions are designed for swimmers training for triathlons and open water events who want to feel more confident, stronger, and supported in the water. The coached open water sessions give you structure, purpose, and guidance so you’re not just swimming circuits, you’re training with intention. You’ll build your open water fitness gradually while learning practical skills that make the transition from pool to lake smooth and enjoyable. I offer you tips and advice to help you achieve your open water goals safely and confidently. Training in a group makes you work harder. It’s motivating, supportive, and way more fun. There will be laughs, encouragement, and shared wins along the way. I promise!!! Who is it for? The sessions are ideal for beginner to intermediate swimmers who: • Can comfortably swim 200m • Are confident treading water • Want to build towards 1km or more in open water • Are new to open water or looking to improve confidence and technique Session Structure Each session is structured and coached, including: • Warm-up with a focus on breathing and relaxation • Technique drills to improve efficiency • Stamina and endurance building • Pacing strategies • Open water and race-specific skills (sighting, close proximity swimming, drafting, mini mass starts) I’ll be coaching from a paddle board, so you’re always supported and there’s also the opportunity to film your stroke in the lake for personalised feedback. Come and train with purpose, build confidence, and enjoy the buzz of swimming with others in open water. The £8.00 lake entry has been included in the price. NB: Please make sure you are ready to start promptly at 8.30am. I reserve the right to postpone a session if we have only 3 participants or less per coach. Cancellation Policy
Booking Terms and Conditions 1. All group pool classes are pre-booked and paid for in advance as part of a half term block (in line with the local school term timetable). No missed classes/unused sessions can be carried over to the next term, unless it is due to medical reasons. However, clients are welcome to make up their missed class in another suitable class, subject to the instructors prior approval and having space within the class 2. Our open water classes & getaways all require some flexibility due to weather, so we might have to make changes. We will ensure the changes have minimal impact and we will inform you as soon as possible. 2. If a refund is done, it will be subject to a 5% charge (with a minimum of £1). 3. For any pre-booked pool or open water swim session that you fail to attend, you will be charged the full session amount. 4. We regret if there is insufficient demand for the trip / course or the minimum number is not met we have the right to cancel it. If we do have to cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and you will receive a full refund. 5. If pool2lake has to cancel any pool, open water or swimrun classes, you will receive a full refund or the fee will be transferred to another date. 6. HARPENDEN TUESDAY 9am SQUAD: We are unable to give refunds or transfers.
