Join Lifestyle Fitness Consultants, Carol O’Connor and Heather Schelhase, Pool2lake for an invigorating experience of yoga and cold water wild swimming. The calmness from the yoga and exhilarating high of the cold water immersion is a great combination to reset and recharge. The session will start with a gentle yoga practice including Pranayama (breath work), which is suitable for all levels. The whole workshop and practise has been designed to bring balance to your water element. When your water element is unbalanced, it may lead you to feeling emotionally unstable, dehydrated, feelings of being tense, and stuck. Water nourishes the body and connecting to it during your yoga practice will allow you to strengthen and relax your hips, release tension, and become more flexible and fluid. It will be the perfect preparation (physically, mentally and spiritually) for your cold water swim. Cold water dipping/swimming has many proven scientific benefits including strengthening your immune system, helps reduce inflammation, improves blood flow and cardio vascular health. It also increases endorphins, adrenaline, and serotonin production and it’s absolutely wild crazy fun. During the workshop we will also have a grounding barefoot walking meditation to the river, helping you to connect even more to nature and all its beauty. The cold water swimming /dipping is structured for both beginners & experienced swimmers. You will guided through the steps to help you acclimatise to the water using breathing and mindfulness techniques. It will be done slowly to make sure you are safe and in control throughout the amazing experience. Booking Terms and Conditions 1. Our open water classes & getaways all require some flexibility due to weather, so we might have to make changes. We will ensure the changes have minimal impact and we will inform you as soon as possible. 2. Any cancellations of pre-booked swim sessions must be via email at least 24 hours in advance of the session start time. Where possible we will transfer the session to a different slot. If you request a refund, 24 hours or more, before the session, it will be subject to a 5% charge (with a minimum of £1). 3. For any pre-booked swim session that you fail to attend, you will be charged the full session amount. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, will also incur a full charge. 4. We regret if there is insufficient demand for the trip / course or the minimum number is not met we have the right to cancel it. If we do have to cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and you will receive a full refund. 5. If pool2lake has to cancel any pool, open water or swimrun classes, you will receive a full refund or the fee will be transferred to another date.
